Yes! Theatre's must pay for the rights to produce a show.
This means securing permission from the playwright and the publishing company. These theatrical rights come with both a fee and a set of guidelines that a theatre must follow in order to earn the privilege of bringing the play to life on stage. Each show cost between $ 1,500-3,000

As many know, we don’t have a permanent home for our theatre. This means we must rent spaces not only for performances but also for rehearsals and technical work. On average, these costs range from $3,500 to $5,000 per show.

Musical Directors are in high demand, and their expertise is truly invaluable.
Theatres invest in hiring skilled musicians to bring live music to the stage. Whether it’s a full orchestra or a small pit ensemble, these artists are dedicated professionals who pour their time and talent into every performance. Their contribution is essential to the magic of live theatre. $2,000 usually covers the Music Directors cost to play rehearsals, conduct a band, and hold band rehearsals. 

This doesn’t  include additional musicians—like actors, many of these incredible artists generously donate their time and talent, driven by a deep love for creating live art just for you.

For each show, we strive to provide compensation to our artists—every actor and musician receives a minimum of $100 for their invaluable contribution. Cast sizes typically range from 10 to 20 performers, while our musical ensembles usually include between 2 and 10 musicians. 

Our vision is to grow and give each artist the fair compensation they deserve.

While these elements are essential to creating the immersive experience of live theatre, they come with a real cost, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully crafted to perfection.

Miscellaneous costs in theatrical productions include essential, often overlooked expenses like insurance, liability protection for performers and crew, and performance permits. There are also costs for concessions, marketing, and ticketing systems. Expenses can arise during rehearsals or performances, including equipment maintenance, transportation, and emergency repairs. While secondary, these costs are necessary to ensure the safety, legality, and smooth operation of the production.
